CATERING SERVICES
** We always do our best to accommodate orders, however, we are a small business and occasionally, due to increased demand and our busy catering schedule, we cannot take orders for certain times. Thank you for understanding!
- PICK UP – Give us a call and let us help you with your food order, let us know when you want it, and will have it ready when you arrive.
- DELIVERY – We will deliver everything to your event in our aluminum or plastic containers. We will help you with the setup and make sure the food is ready when you are.
- (Wire Racks & Fuel Available upon request at a special rate)
- FULL SERVICE – We will bring everything to you. Our staff will set up, serve, and clean up our designated area. We do not offer a cake-cutting service.
- ONSITE GRILLING – Perfect for your company picnic! This service is available for an additional fee of $150. The grill charge covers grill supplies, extra time, and extra staff for onsite grilling.
- MOBILE FOOD TRUCK SERVICE - If you are in need of a mobile food truck for your community, outdoor market, or festival events this option is for you. The food truck will be staffed with our kitchen staff allowing guests to walk up and order from a pre-set menu at our food truck window. Please email us directly at bignicksonbaytree@gmail.com
- Site Requirements - Although we will have our generator available access to electricity if possible is always nice. Please confirm that our food truck is able to be on-site especially if you are booking at a private location. We will need to ensure that the proper access is available for parking and open access to large amounts of guests. This will ensure that guests are able to come and go from the ordering window without congestion.
- Operations Fee - The fee varies depending on the type of event and the projected number of attendees. This covers fuel and overhead costs. If we are asked to travel outside of the Valdosta city limits additional fees may be charged to cover mileage and any other necessary requirements such as permits etc. 50% of the total balance is due at the time of booking.
- Weddings - Charged per person. Please see our buffet packages under our catering store. When planning for larger groups please consider the number of guests and the possibility of long lines to ensure that the proper accommodations can be made if possible.

- The number of staffers needed on the truck
- The number of hours the truck will be open to take orders and prepare made-to-order meals
- Any extras such as beverages and dessert
CATERING POLICY
Food, beverage, and additional items charges based on guest count will be based on the client’s final guaranteed count. Final guest counts are due no later than 30 days before the event date. If no final guest count is received, we will use the number of guests used in the initial proposal. Unfortunately, we do not offer a cake-cutting service for wedding cakes.
STAFFING
Our staff will be dressed in our catering attire. Standard service includes 1 ½ hours of open buffet time and all necessary servers for up to 3 hours. (Set up and clean up time of our area is also included in our price.) Set up can begin 1 to 2 hours before the event through the final cleanup of the event (or if other arrangements have been made.) Overtime is billed at the rate of $20.00 per server per hour. No overtime will be incurred if the event ends on schedule. We reserve the right to increase or decrease the number of staff if the guaranteed guest count is 10% higher or lower than the number included in the proposal.
DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY
A deposit of 50% of the total estimated amount is required to confirm the booking of this event. Deposit refunds on cancellations are handled as follows –
*Notice over 30 days before the event 50 % refund of deposit.
*Notice less than 30 days before the event NO Refund of deposit
FINAL PAYMENT
Clients will be billed for the balance due 30 days before the event. The invoice amount is due upon receipt.

Our standard delivery service is available six days a week due to the restaurant being closed on Mondays. Our delivery fee will vary depending on the size of the order and delivery location.
A $100 minimum order is required for delivery
Please understand that in some cases due to staffing delivery service might not be available.
There will be a delivery service fee added to all catering orders.
Gas Surcharge will be added to all catering events and deliveries.

FAQ’s
How much will it cost?
Prices are listed above to cover guests who are looking for full-service buffet-style catering. If you are looking for “Options by the Pan” please view our website at www.bignicksonbaytree.com under our catering store.
Is there a minimum for full-service catering?
Typically, no, but it is suggested that anyone looking to feed 40 or more people consider going with our full-service option. Other suggestions can be discussed if the guests are looking to feed themselves such as the “Options by the Pan” as mentioned above. For smaller headcounts, this would be a simpler pick-up or drop-off style option. The purchase of wire racks and burners is available just ask.
Are there any other fees?
There is a 20% service charge added to all full-service catering events. The service charge covered our uniformed staff members for gratuity, set up, serving, and breaking down of the catering station. We also have a gas surcharge to cover mileage outside of Valdosta Ga traveling to and from the venue. Also, Sales Tax is required by the State of Georgia to be added to the entire total. If you have a bar option added to your event there are taxes required for that as well.
Finalizations
Big Nick’s has several businesses flowing all under one and we prefer to be as prepared as possible to ensure that you receive the best service. We expect to have as much notice to carefully plan. A minimum of 30 days is most appreciated and a maximum of 2 weeks when possible.
Leftovers
Occasionally we know all guests will not show up for your event. We portion out each serving based on the headcount given. If that number is lesser than the original quote, any food items left will be packed and left for the host in a safe storage area. If the guest count is correct, we will determine at the end of the event if food is available to leave with the client and bring containers to do so.
Why does the meat look pink?
Big Nicks BBQ meats such as beef, chicken, ribs, and pork are smoked for hours to perfection in our pit. The smoke causes a chemical reaction in the meat which can cause a slight pink coloring. Our meats are smoked for hours and are fully cooked, juicy, and delicious.
Will you travel?
Yes! Travel surcharges will apply. We will also need to be aware of the venue accessibility measures in advance.
